Witty Business Card.

March 8, 2011

I randomly found this business card online, and I love it. I love the witty and informal approach it has, it would definitely catch my attention. A nice change from the usual stuffy, corporate design business cards. Alexander Parker created it as a temporary business card.

Interactive Chalk Animation.

September 2, 2009

I was looking through different videos on youtube earlier whenever I came across this chalk animation. It was an animation made by an artist whose name I cannot find, I have searched everywhere for, for an Arctic Monkeys song. I have recently really gotten into the whole idea of chalk animations and by far they are my favourite style of stop motion animation and I will definitely be experimenting in this style. They are just so raw and they flow so well together, with the debris strewn around the backdrop. This animation especially drew me in because of how simple the sketches are, little stick men and simple lines, but the use of coloured chalk which is usually disregarded for this style really captured my attention, it works so well with the flow of the drawings. This is by far the most humorous and most interactive of all the chalk animations I have viewed, I love how the artist uses his own hands and feet to interact with the animation, lifting the animation to an almost 3D feel. Well I hope you like it, and if anyone could tell who the artist is I would be most appreciative, I would love to see more of his work.
