Fridgeezoo.

March 8, 2011

I am obsessed with these beautiful creatures! Fridgeezoo is the best Eco friendly product out there. These animal themed cartons let you know when you open the fridge door for too long, letting the fridge cool, meaning more energy and work is required from the fridge to regulate the temperature. Such a smart, chic idea! Thanks to the Dieline for introducing me to my new obsession.

I cannot choose between the Penguin and the Walrus.

Witty Business Card.

March 8, 2011

I randomly found this business card online, and I love it. I love the witty and informal approach it has, it would definitely catch my attention. A nice change from the usual stuffy, corporate design business cards. Alexander Parker created it as a temporary business card.

Pancake Tuesday.

March 8, 2011

So in light of this festive day I thought I would post an inspiring piece representing Pancake Tuesday. My tummy is twice its size after my over indulgence on Pancakes. For those of you unfortunate people who have not had pancakes today, and have no idea how to make them, fear not the fabulously talented Kate Sutton is here to save the day. I found this beautiful illustration for a pancake recipe on the Handsome Frank’s website. I must say I am in love with it, Kate Sutton is a very talented illustrator! I just adore hand drawn type.

Another Illustration I did super quick for a birthday card. A bucket of delicious chicken, yum yum!! It’s making me hungry. Hope you like!

Mr Reily Plushie.

January 30, 2011

After the failed Jasper attempt I decided to create one of my other Characters for my mum, Mr Reily. Again his colours were not all in the felt pack so I had to make a few substitutions. Learning from my mistakes with Jasper I decided not to make the project any more difficult for myself and so I decided to stitch visible stitches, and thank fully for my sanity it worked this time! So everyone meet the very friendly Mr Reily.

Jasper Plushie.

January 30, 2011

My wonderful sister came home with lots of sheets of felt for me yesterday and I got straight to work. I have been wanting to make a Jasper doll for quite some time the packs had all the colours for him except for skin colour but I decided not to let this hold me back and so I substituted peach for white. I wanted Jasper to be cleanly sewn, with no visible pieces of thread, so my idea was to sew him inside out and then turn him out to show perfect lines, this worked for the head, but unfortunately it was not so successful with the body. The fabric was too thin and so I could not turn it back out after I had completed stitching, so this was a failed attempt, but I learned a lot from it.

Another quick post featuring one of my illustrations. A collage, ink and paint old style American Payphone, in the words of the one and only Alexander Graham Bell; “Ahoy Hoy!”

Hello.

January 6, 2011

I am addicted to drawing glasses and telephones here is a quick one I done today, ink and paint. I love these phones, nostalgic again for me because my granny had this phone, and I always remember it, every time I went to her house.

Mix Tape.

January 5, 2011

Retro fun! Nothing can beat a good old walkman, with a great mix tape of songs from the radio, aww those were the days! Bring back the 90′s!

Ahoy Hoy.

January 5, 2011

I adore old things, and I remember when I was younger we use to have one of these old fashioned Phones as our actual phone. It was an antique, it was the real deal and it was such a pain to use as you could barely hear the person the other side, but its quite a nostalgic feel to see them!

Put your foot in it.

January 5, 2011

I am finding so many sketches I completely forgot about, a collaged foot, if only toes could be sized in a perfectly spaces way!
